As per the definition of transmedia storytelling formulated by Henry Jenkins (2006) as “the art of worldmaking” which puts the world as the center of storytelling, this paper focuses on two tools for the apprehension of a transmedial world from a perspective which takes into account the specificity of media and production: the transmedial “bible” and the “canon”. For this purpose we use as example the entertainment franchise Halo (343 Ind.) originated by the videogame Halo: Combat Evolved (Bungie, 2001).
